Bespoke joinery for Grade A office transformation
Our team of skilled bench-hand joiners recently produced a reception desk, wall panelling and vanity units for the newly refurbished office space within 55 Douglas Street in Glasgow.
The reception desk was constructed with American oak veneer with a Forbo Vinyl desk surface with a grey lacquered hardwood lip. The worktop and front panels have a burnished hot rolled steel finish. The rear side of the desk was finished in Anthracite Grey.
The desk features a DDA zone, lockable storage, power and data sockets.
The wall panelling, a feature within the reception area and lift lobbies, was manufactured with solid concave oak timber panels. The panels have an Osmo Oil stained finish and oak veneered plywood backing. Black rolled steel signage numbering was also installed to the face of the panelling at each lift lobby.
Vanity units were assembled with a plywood frame, formica faced front panels and a Corian trough sink with plywood substrate.
The items, designed by Michael Laird Architects, were manufactured at our 10,000sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Paisley. They were then transported to site and installed by our specialist team.
Director, Gerry Cummins said, “We were delighted to produce the bespoke joinery for this major office transformation and contribute to the creation of much needed Grade A office space within the city centre.”
